The Irish Academy of Engineering (IAE) is dedicated to advancing the wellbeing of the island of Ireland by marshalling the expertise and insights of eminent engineers to provide independent advice to policy makers on matters involving engineering and technology. The IAE regularly publishes research and guidance on matters relating to engineering, technology, and the development of Ireland and is grateful for the invitation to present to the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly today.
We are unique in being an all- Island Academy with 20% of our Fellows from Northern Ireland. Our Fellows give of their time pro bono to provide thought leadership in a time of great change.
The IAE is a member of the European Council of Academies of Science and Engineering (Euro CASE) and operates a Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) in the UK. The RAE and IAE will co-host the 2026 Euro CASE Conference in Belfast on 18-20 November which the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly is cordially invited to attend.
