Eamonn has over 20 years’ experience working in healthcare, initially in direct patient-facing roles and the last nine years in health policy and regulation.
As the head of Major Capital Projects, in the Health Infrastructure Division in the Department of Health, Eamonn is responsible for capital investment projects in excess of €200m and those of significant complexity. Together with his team, and working closely with HSE Capital & Estates, Eamonn’s role is in ensuring the application of the new Infrastructure Guidelines by project teams on proposals/business cases for major capital projects to ensure they are evidenced-based, right-sized, deliverable, and ultimately represent value for public money.
A pharmacist by profession, Eamonn holds an MPharm, a post graduate LLM (Healthcare Ethics & Law), and a Professional Diploma in Health Economics.
