JJ is the CEO of Future Cast, Innovation, R&D and Education Centre under Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 for the quarry, construction and manufacturing industries based at W8 Complex Co. Leitrim. in 2017 JJ won European Citizen of the Year. In 2022 he won an All Ireland Business Award for the W8 Innovation Centre. Future Cast works with companies in these sectors and throughout their manufacturing supply chains on projects to increase the adoption of advanced technology and processes. Future Cast is a non-profit organisation with a remit to research and disseminate technologies in Industry 4.0 to member companies solving pressing issues using accumulated knowledge and expertise in industries automation, innovation, and funding. Future Cast is engaging with the Irish Grown Wool Council and its Wool Hub regarding developing opportunities and innovation for the use of Irish grown wool in construction.
